Hello, I am Audrey McGee. I was introduced to Qigong through one of my yoga teachers, Terry Coburn, who would add a few Qigong forms to her yoga classes. We were encouraged to explore more if it was something we enjoyed. I fell in love with Qigong and couldn’t get enough and so began my search to learn more. I liked the healing aspects of this ancient practice that helps us to learn to live in harmony with ourselves and with nature. In 2022, I took Teacher Training in Qigong, the Chinese Five Elements/Phases, and the Tai Chi Axis with Mimi Kuo-Deemer who has been my teacher and mentor for more than 3 years.
Currently I teach classic and seasonal Qigong practices, as well as Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi, a combination of Yang-style Tai Chi and Qigong, and Tai Chi for Arthritis. I am a Senior Fitness Specialist-SFS (NASM) offering Strength Training classes for active older adults, and an RYT500 Yoga Teacher. I am also an avid knitter, which I find calming and meditative, and teach knitting classes through Mid-Maine Regional Adult Community Education (MMRACE).
My passion is working with people to find practices that are aligned to their wants and needs, enriching them to have longer, happier and healthier lives. Everything I teach is adaptable to all body types, abilities, and ages, so that everyone is able to enjoy the benefits of what I have to offer.
